The Sight of....
Specifically, what practical use can have the nanotechnology?
The latest application is in ambulances. It was created the first ambulance with copper nanoparticles in which one of the copper features is used at its maximum, such as the capacity it has to eliminate microorganisms throughout all the interior surfaces of an ambulance.
And, what is the purpose of this initiative?
Ambulances, as emergency vehicles, are exposed to a rough work, having wear and tear, and transporting many people. Inside, by the nature of their service, lives a series of agents which are product of the fluids of patients, which demands a lot of concern of their operators in order to maintain the asepsis.
How has been done this work?
In this we have seen an opportunity to help our users to achieve a safe asepsis in these vehicles. It was a long process, which took one year of research and laboratory tests in Chile and abroad, in order to certify the real properties of this technology. The process has required an investment of US$70,000. We are so proud of it.
